Ellie Stommel is an incredible realtor to work with, and we highly recommend her. She recently helped us find and purchase our new home in Calvert County. Figuring out our financing, selling our former home (on which multiple contracts unexpectedly fell through), finding our new home, and negotiating its purchase all turned out to be lengthy and complicated (much more so than we had anticipated), but Ellie was incredibly patient, very responsive, and always very reassuring. She worked with us for months and showed us a huge number of homes, and she always encouraged us to take the time to make a decision we were happy with. She researched and provided helpful information about each property we were interested in and was very encouraging and patient when we started to get overwhelmed and/or discouraged with the process. She was also very knowledgeable and detail-oriented with the contract negotiation process and with working through the sale itself. Ellie helped us work through a major unexpected issue with our financing when our former home sale fell through and was calm and encouraging throughout. And she has remained in touch, continuing to help us with referrals and information on our new area. She is also very knowledgeable about the area, having grown up in southern Maryland. And she was very kind to our young children (who were along with us for most of the house hunting process and who grew very fond of her).
